Hamilton By Design provides 3D CAD modelling services for industrial equipment, mechanical components and brownfield plant upgrades.
Models can be developed from 3D LiDAR point clouds, detailed component scans, site measurements, existing drawings or physical equipment. This creates an accurate digital representation that can support engineering design, equipment modifications, reverse engineering, fabrication and installation planning.
Our 3D CAD models can cover conveyors, transfer chutes, guards, pump skids, tanks, pipework, platforms, machinery and other fixed plant assets. Depending on the project, models may include individual parts, mechanical assemblies, equipment layouts, surrounding structures and the interfaces required to connect new designs to existing plant.
Combining practical mechanical experience with 3D scanning and CAD modelling helps us consider fabrication, assembly, maintenance access, transport and installation requirements during model development.
Deliverables may include native SolidWorks files and compatible formats such as STEP, Parasolid, DXF and PDF. General arrangement and fabrication drawings can also be developed from approved 3D models.

If it is the case where you do not have a 3D point cloud scan, we can create one for you we can also develop 3D pipework route from tradition 2D drawings and or PID information.
From our 3D models our visualization tools offer the possibility of feasibility studies that can be created along with design reviews for fit functionality and safety.
